Our Club

The Kiwanis Club of Zion-Benton is dedicated to serving our community by providing support for area organizations that support the youth of our community.   Our membership continues to grow, and with this growth, we have been able to accomplish more and have a larger impact upon our community. You are welcome to join us!  Please inquire today about how you can become a part of our growing membership.

Our club is proud to sponsor these programs and projects:

  • BUG (Bringing Up Grades): We recognize elementary school students who improve their grades.
  • Kiwanis One-Day: Members provide a Basketball Camp for area youth in grades K-8. Click here for photos.
  • Lee J. Fischer Firefighter/Police Awards: Our club honors local firefighters and police.
  • Father’s Day Cards and Mother’s Day Flowers: Members and families deliver to residents of local nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
  • Holiday CardsMembers make and sign cards, which are distributed by partner organizations.
  • Ornament Project: Students from the ZBTHS Industrial Technology class research and submit designs for our annual fundraiser. An honorarium is awarded to the student with the winning design.
  • Share the Season: Members and families sing carols at NorthPointe Resources group homes.
  • Students of the Month: We recognize two outstanding ZBTHS students each month.
  • Scholarships (Karl Holzmann, Key Club, and Student of the Month): Our Club awards several scholarships to selected high school seniors.
  • Toys for Children: We collect and deliver to local families.

Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children.
