Our Club

The Kiwanis Club of Zion-Benton is dedicated to serving our community by providing support for area organizations that support the youth of our community.   Our membership continues to grow, and with this growth, we have been able to accomplish more and have a larger impact upon our community. Our club is proud to sponsor these programs and projects:

  • BUG (Bringing Up Grades): Recognizes elementary school students who improve their grades.
  • Kiwanis One-Day: Provides a Basketball Camp for area youth in grades K-8. Click here for photos.
  • Lee J. Fischer Firefighter/Police Awards: Honors local firefighters and police.
  • Father’s Day Cards and Mother’s Day Flowers: Delivers to residents of local nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
  • Ornament Project: Students from the ZBTHS Industrial Technology class research and submit designs for the club’s annual fundraiser. An honorarium is given to the student with the winning design.
  • Share the Season: Sings carols at NorthPointe Resources group homes.
  • Students of the Month: Recognizes two outstanding ZBTHS students during the school year.
  • Scholarships (Karl Holzmann, Key Club, and Student of the Month): Awards several scholarships to selected seniors.
  • Toys for Children: Collects and delivers to local families.

Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children.
